Stéphane Gisclard was born in 1966 in Béziers, lives and works in the South of France.
His works are printed by the atmosphere and the light of its native land. His themes evoke journeys, harbour atmospheres, night pleasures, and careless breaks.
Although his work is inspired by cubism and the African art, he knew how to find a unique style in which he stands out with a powerful graphics. A rhythm dominates in a methodical distribution of the canvas, a striking line multiplies the planes in a subtle and shaded palette.
In this way, the artist offers us a painting from where escapes an omnipresent light, a harmony of colours and leads us into a universe where time does no longer exist.
