(1972) - French artist
Nicolas Quinsier was born in Nice in 1972. Very early he likes the representational and realistic painting, like the primitive Dutch and Flemish - Worm Meer for example - and the American painter Edward Hopper. Sharply influenced by these masters of realism, his work expresses however a personal way of representing the light frank and contrasted by his native region, the same which attracted so many known painters. Abandoning deliberately the formal researches led around the Structure throughout the 20th century, his painting insists more on the contrast of tone (twilight) as well as on the color. These last paintings show the preoccupation of the painter for the role that the screens of light.
